New Kenworth W990 with DAF genes

By

Kenworth has launched a new Class 8 truck, the W990. The Kenworth W990 features the Paccar MX-13 engine rated up to 510-hp and 1,850 lb-ft of torque, the 12-speed Paccar automated transmission, Paccar tandem rear axles, and the Kenworth TruckTech+ connected truck system.

Although th new model has classic looks, the latest technology seems to be lurking under the bonnet. Two things are shwoing here. First, the fact that Paccar uses ever more parts under it's own name, as is the case with the axles and transmission. Second, the new connected trucksystem, with which Paccar is relatively late, but it  will certainly bring benefits to Paccar and it's customers. As we all know, the engine comes from   DAF and is being manufactured in Mississippi.
